The Shooting Stars Dance Company was awarded the "Sweepstakes" award at the Spotlight Dance Cup Competition held in Upland,
California February 19-21, 2016 at the Highlander Auditorium.
The "Sweepstakes" award is awarded to the studio with the highest percentage of Diamond (their highest award) ranked group numbers.
Shooting Stars also took home the "Triple Crown" which calculated the highest scoring junior, teen and senior numbers and is awarded to the studio with the highest score. Three numbers are in the running for the annual "Industry Dance Awards", a national competition that awards the best performances of 2016. Watch the award-winning numbers here:

In the Novice group, Shooting Stars won 1st place overall for "Boogie Shoes" and 3rd place overall for "Shake the Room" in their first competition!
